New briefing paper published on policy options for integrating health and social care

Chris Ham’s new briefing paper for the Nuffield Trust on policy options for integrating health and social care is accompanied by an article in Society Guardian (published Wednesday 1st April). 

The briefing paper explores the issues involved in achieving closer integration of health and social care. It explores the discussions that took place and key messages arising from a series of seminars led by experts in this field and held by the Nuffield Trust between November 2008 and January 2009. The seminars in turn built on previous work undertaken by the Nuffield Trust, focusing on areas of the country where primary care trusts (PCTs) and local authorities have experience of working together.
